Using AI as an efficiency tool and for localising content
AI in the creative workflow
AI is most usually used in the creative industry to streamline the visual design pipeline. I have used AI image creation tools for both ideation and execution, and it works as a great tool, not full replacement to the creative process. AI has allowed me to rapidly illustrate initial design concepts, making it much easier to pitch visual ideas to stakeholders. I have also used these tools to automate more mundane, time-consuming design jobs, such as generating high-quality, custom background images, freeing up time to focus on complex UX and layout challenges.
A less common and highly useful use of the tool is using it for translating and amending content within audio and video-heavy projects, ensuring efficiency across multi-media workflows.
AI Cloning
Audio production is traditionally a major bottleneck in content creation. To counter this, we integrated AI narration to efficiently voice our learning modules. However, relying solely on AI-narration can introduce new challenges. For example, when attempting to get specific pronunciations or intonations. This is where AI voice cloning comes in.
With AI cloning, you can use traditional human methods to narrate a project, and with permission, create an AI voice that perfectly matches it. This allows for quick script edits and updates to existing content, entirely eliminating the need to re-record content with voice actors, which can be costly and time-consuming.

AI-Driven Localisation
The most impactful application of AI in my workflow has been in content localisation. Traditional localisation is incredibly labour-intensive, involving manual formatting and repeated media production. To provide the learning modules I worked on at Dynamic to a worldwide audience, I utilised AI systems like Synthesia and HeyGen to automate video translation.
Using these programs, I created the exact same video content across multiple languages simultaneously. By generating these first-pass multilingual versions swiftly, we drastically reduced production costs and shortened delivery timelines. This allowed human reviewers to focus strictly on cultural refinement rather than raw conversion, ensuring the tone and terminology remained accurate across all global markets.
